Software Engineer

Sentra is on a mission to enable cloud-driven organizations to regain control and secure their full data lifecycle. We are a fast-growing start-up company, located in Tel Aviv (near a train station) with a very strong founding team. We are looking to hire a talented and experienced Backend Software Engineer to join us and be a part of the company’s early stage core team.

Application team is composed of talented Full Stack Engineers and is responsible for building our web app, SDK and public APIs. By working with us you will be interacting with the rest of the R&D teams, product managers and also customer facing solution engineers in order to deliver end to end features and tackle complex engineering challenges.

• Designing and implementing core components within the web app and our backend services
• Planning and implementing the rollout, testing and monitoring of features deployed to production end to end
• Conducting design and code reviews with the other team members
• Analytical approach for scale, optimizations and also awesome UX
• Drive and passion for pushing cross R&D-product workflows and initiatives

• 5+ years of experience in building software using Python / Typescript / Javascript
• 5+ years of experience with building RESTful APIs using some common HTTP framework such as Nest.JS / Express.JS or FastAPI
• Strong understanding of modern SaaS applications in terms of architecture and best practices
• Experience working with relational databases
• Experienced working with micro-services architecture & cloud-native environment (AWS - advantage)
• Experience with React - an advantage
• Ability to prioritize and organize time effectively
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant experience - an advantage
• Self-motivated and passionate attitude
• Knowledge in the Cyber Security / Data Security domain - advantage
