Description
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Legal Counsel to join Growthspace for a 6-month maternity leave cover, with the possibility of extension.
The Senior Legal Counsel will oversee all the legal aspects of our business. As the Senior Legal Counsel, you will be a key advisor to stakeholders, providing expert guidance and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations related to technology, product and SaaS, data privacy and security, AI, and other innovative fields. Your responsibilities will include managing and leading global commercial legal negotiations, advising the management team, and providing practical legal counsel to various stakeholders including HR and Finance Teams. Additionally, you will create and maintain legal documents, internal policies, and business processes to support the company's growth.
Reporting to: VP Finance
Location: Our offices are located in Tel Aviv (3-minute walk from the HaShalom train station). We work in a remote-first model where you will need to attend the office one day a week.
Main responsibilities:
Commercial Legal Negotiations: Lead and manage commercial legal negotiations in global locations to support the company's global expansion efforts. Work closely with cross-functional teams to structure and execute agreements that align with business objectives.
Legal Advisory Support: Act as a trusted advisor to the management team, offering legal insights and strategic recommendations to address complex business challenges. Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders, enabling business initiatives while effectively managing legal risks.
Documents and Policy Development: Draft, develop, and maintain essential legal documents, contracts, and related assets to safeguard the company's interests. Create and implement internal policies and business processes to foster scalability and efficiency while adhering to legal requirements.
External Counsel Management: Oversee the company's relationship with external legal counsel in both Israel, US and Canada, ensuring effective collaboration and obtaining specialized expertise when needed.
Legal Compliance and Guidance: Stay updated on laws and regulations and providing guidance and direction to stakeholders on legal matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
LLB degree or a US JD and license to practice law in Israel.
At least 5 years of experience practicing commercial law in a global technology company, with proven experience in negotiation and a deep understanding of technology transactions.
In-depth knowledge of technology and SaaS-related laws and regulations, including privacy, open-source licensing, and IP.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures.
Ability to support the HR and Finance Teams and advise on Israeli and US Labor law matters and corporate matters.
High level of professional English (speaking and writing) is a must.
Ability to think strategically while operating with a “hands-on” approach and still doing ALL legal tasks (tactic or strategic).
A team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to provide excellent service to peers and stakeholders.
Ability to move fast and constantly deliver in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of domains.
