Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Senior Backend Engineer to join our Security Center group. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our platform's backend components, as well as leading key projects and mentoring junior team members. This is a full-time position. We foster a remote-friendly environment with an office-as-an-option attitude. 

What you’ll do:

• Architect, strategize, and implement comprehensive elements of the platform's backend infrastructure and data architecture. 
• Lead efforts to identify and implement innovative, cutting-edge solutions while handling requirements and timelines. 
• Identify and address both technical and application-related issues. 
• Enhance application performance and scalability by implementing optimal code efficiency and utilizing effective load balancing techniques. 
• Work with a global and diverse team of backend, frontend, and DevOps engineers. 
• Work from our offices in Tel Aviv or Be'er Sheva a couple of times a week. 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent. 
• 5 years of experience in large-scale, production, server-side development. 
• Proficient with server-side technologies (Java, Golang, Python) in a distributed highly available architecture. 
• Proficient with relational SQL Databases like Postgres. 
• Experience with non-relational databases like Redis and ElasticSearch. 
• Experience with public cloud services and technologies. 
• Experience with messaging and intra-service communication types of APIs. 
• Experience with Big Data and Big Data platforms like Snowflake, DataBricks, Apache Spark - significant advantage. 
• A passion for architecture and for developing robust, scalable software systems. 
• Ability to push ideas and influence decision-making collaboratively. 
• Passionate for internet and technology – significant advantage. 
• Experience with Cyber security solutions – significant advantage. 
• Performance profiling and tuning of both application and storage layers – significant advantage. 
• Experience with the Spring framework, including Spring Boot – an advantage. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication, both in Hebrew and English.
