Playstudios is an innovative social gaming company that brings millions of people together to play, meet, and interact. We’re looking for a talented Game Economy Manager, to join our Studio.
The Game Economy is one of the core domains of our game and is critical to our success. We’re looking for a highly motivated Game Economist, to design our features, and price our different merchandise in the game. As a Game Economist, you will collaborate closely with Data, Product, and Monetization teams, in order to create the most fun and engaging experience for our players and balancing the economy in the game.
Responsibilities:
Design and own user experience from an economic point of view to predict our players’ behavior.
Build simulations in order to proactively forecast the results of content changes.
Monitor individual and macro player balances to ensure the overall health and fun of the game’s economy experience.
Explore, design and monitor gameplay loops and the way players interact with them.
Tune content performance by devising A/B tests and analyzing their results.
Identify areas where sinks/sources should be tightened or loosened to maximize engagement, retention and revenue.
Build price offers for the game’s virtual currencies and goods.
Collaborate with Product and monetization teams on balancing and designing new features that address existing deficiencies in the game.
Requirements
1+ year of experience with Game Economy in other gaming companies
Previous experience in Data Analysis.
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (or Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a similar quantitative field).
Advanced analytical skills, ability to spot patterns and trends.
An interest in mobile games.
Previous experience in strategic/financial consulting - Advantage
