DevOps Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Team Lead with at least two years of managerial or leadership experience to guide and inspire a team of DevOps engineers. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of Rise’s Ad Serving Platforms by overseeing the development and maintenance of foundational backend services, tooling, and automation. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, managing large-scale traffic, ensuring system scalability, and driving platform reliability.

• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
• Design and implement efficient, high-quality cloud architectures to meet organizational needs.
• Oversee and scale our distributed, highly available SaaS platform to ensure optimal reliability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure their applications are scalable, secure, and performant.
• Drive innovative solutions to complex challenges, both independently and as a team leader.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across a massive distributed system spanning dozens of services.
• Continuously improve platform architecture and drive adoption of best practices in reliability, scalability, and observability.
• Act as a point of expertise for DevOps tools, practices, and technologies within the organization.
• Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate new technologies and practices as appropriate.

• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a DevOps or infrastructure team.
• Minimum of 5 years as a hands-on DevOps Engineer, including experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Expertise with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, and Grafana.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or similar.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Strong programming skills.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems, Bash scripting, and computer networking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and team development.

• Experience building and managing data pipelines.
• Knowledge of Apache Airflow for workflow automation.
