Who We're Looking For - The Dream Maker
We're in search for a talented Billing Operations Manager, someone who will be responsible for overseeing the billing department, ensuring seamless and accurate billing operations while maintaining compliance with regulations, sales tax requirements, and cross-departmental collaboration. This role involves managing a team of billing specialists who handle billing and reconciliations for small to medium-sized clients, corporations, and strategic partners. Our ultimate goal is to equip our clients with resilient safeguards against chargebacks, empowering them to safeguard their revenue and optimize their profitability. Your Arena
- Lead and manage Billing Department staff, including hiring, training new billing specialists, and evaluating performance.
- Ensure accuracy of invoicing to and reconcile billing issues while developing, monitoring, and adjusting billing policies and procedures through our knowledge base.
- Identify and address issues related to claim denials, rejections, underpayments, and refunds.
- Ownership mentality - proactively addresses issues, follows through on commitments, and ensures that all aspects of the role are handled with dedication and accountability.
- Compile, analyze, and evaluate billing data.
- Prepare or provide support for various ad-hoc tasks initiated by management/clients.
- Work with and support all clients, partners, and other related departments (Sales, Customer success, Product and Customer Support) in billing-related issues.
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients and business partners.
- Comply with Sales tax and other federal and state requirements.
What It Takes:
- Bachelor's degree - Must; a business degree with a focus on accounting or finance is a plus.
- Proven experience with billing and reconciliation processes - Must
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail - Must
- Solid understanding of tax, accounting, and finance principles - Must
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel - Must
- Management experience - Advantage.
- Familiarity with billing systems such as Stripe, Shopify, and others - Advantage
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Experience in the e-commerce industry - Advantage
- Knowledge of global sales tax regulations and compliance - Advantage
