we are looking for an experienced and technically adept Sales Executive to join our team in a role focused on overlay sales of subscription-based solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with our sales managers to drive the transition of existing customers from perpetual licensing to subscription models and assist in landing new subscription-based clients. The role demands a blend of deep technical understanding and a strong sales background.

As a Cognyter you will: 

  • Work directly with sales managers to transition existing customers from perpetual licensing to subscription-based models, ensuring smooth and successful migrations.
  • Develop and deliver compelling commercial messaging to current and prospective customers, positioning subscription-based offerings as the preferred choice over traditional one-time licensing models.
  • Equip sales teams with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to effectively position and sell subscription-based offerings to new and existing customers.
  • Drive the successful execution of customer transition plans by identifying potential roadblocks early and recommending actionable solutions to ensure seamless adoption of the subscription model.
  • Support the acquisition of new subscription-based customers by leveraging your deep technical expertise and understanding of the defense, intelligence, and military sectors.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, finance, and customer success, to ensure a unified approach to achieving revenue targets and customer satisfaction.
Requirements

For that mission you’ll need:

  • Proven track record in sales with at least +5 years of experience in overlay and direct sales of subscription-based models, ideally in a high-tech, B2B/B2G environment.
  • Extensive experience selling into defense, intelligence, and/or military sectors globally.
  • Deep understanding of subscription models, including for on-prem/VPC deployments and the ability to explain their benefits clearly to customers.
  • Strong technical understanding of subscription-based software solutions (for on-prem, VPC, SaaS, XaaS).
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue through successful sales strategies and relationship building.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a deep understanding of the sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with internal teams and customers, offering solutions and recommendations based on a deep understanding of customer needs.
